On July 11, The Noc Noc on 2nd Ave and the historic Columbia building in which it resides was sold and its occupants were given notice to close their doors by August 31 for redevelopment. For the past seven years, Sinner Saint Burlesque, Seattle’s longest running weekly burlesque show and a fixture in the city’s neo-burlesque revival, has made its home on the Noc Noc’s stage. On August 22, the ladies of Sinner Saint Burlesque took the stage at “the Noc” for the last time and performed to a standing room only crowd of their biggest fans.
Many of Sinner Saint’s fans have been asking, “What’s next? Where and when can we see SSB again?” The answer is this: Sinner Saint Burlesque’s weekly revue will be on hiatus for the near future. In the meantime, Sinner Saint plans to put on a monthly Sunday night showcase at The Can Can and is available for private parties and events either as a troupe or as soloists. The ladies of SSB have been honored to share their last few years at the Noc Noc with loving crowds, and they can’t wait to see you again soon as they embark on this new adventure and return more sassy, sexy and sparkly as ever!
In the meantime, stay in touch with Sinner Saint Burlesque by following cast members Polly Wood, Dona dei Cuori, Jesse Belle-Jones, Lady Tatas and Evilyn Sin Claire on Facebook and Twitter, and visit the troupe’s website for upcoming events!
